META | MARVEL  |   Ever wanted to put yourself inside Deadpool? You’re not alone. We jumped at the chance to collaborate with Meta to create the visual identity system for Marvel’s Deadpool VR, the original game developed for Meta Quest 3/3S.
We developed a VIS that enables audiences to see things the way Deadpool sees it, bringing his humour and voice into a visual realm. A great arsenal has a LOT of things. And this VIS is a great arsenal with an array of ready-to-use bombshells: A bold comic book-inspired logo. A font for every voice in your head. A game-faithful Deadpool figure in a variety of silly poses. Suites of motion assets from title cards to event takeovers. Fully animated TV backdrops. And key visuals designed to make both cityscapes and cyberspace 100% sexier. All in a bold and limited palette that grabs eyeballs.
And answering the challenge of how to market an incredibly violent game in a totally (mostly) non-violent way, we developed a library of doodles. Whether paired with 3D DP or used independently, the doodles help to convey Deadpool’s tone of voice, his thoughts, silliness, and sense of humour, acting as illustrated subtitles for Deadpool’s mental circus.
These featured heavily at Summer Game Fest 2025, where Deadpool and his doodles hijacked Geoff Keighley’s keynote speech to announce the game. These childlike and unhinged illustrations have also taken over spaces at Gamescom and disrupted the ESPN SportsCenter studio. And featuring in OOH placements from London buses to New York subway stations, audiences can now enjoy the twisted pen of “Marvel Jesus” on the daily commute. You’re welcome.
